Now, I’m honored to introduce to this week’s Blog of the Week!

Tiffany, The Pifer Family

Explain the meaning behind the name of your blog.
I do not have a quirky, or fun name...I thought over it for a long time. I wanted something to include 'Infertility' which is the reason I started my blog, however I didn't want my title to be 'defined' by infertility-so thats where our plain and simple 'The Pifer Family' came in.

How long have you been blogging? Why did you start blogging?
I have been blogging since 2007 (I had to look that up)...seems like yesterday I started my blog to keep family updated with our many Dr. appts and new infertility embarks we were going to or thinking about taking...it seemed like one outlet to inform everyone all at once was easier than having to call everyone individually. In fact at that time in our journey most of the news wasn't the greatest, so calling several people a day was had emotionally. Little did I know how many wonderful people I would meet throughout the years...

photoWhat do you love most blogging?
I love the support the most. People that don't even know me have come to my page to following our journey and to pray for my husband and I. I am amazed at the amount of people who are in the same situation as we are, I am amazed at those who have never had problems yet who continue to support and lift us up in prayer---it's quite an amazing community of friends!

What's the most surprising thing you've discovered since you began blogging?
Well again the support system for sure! The fact that I can be so open with our lives with the world. That I can write a post that people actually enjoy reading--That people all across the world have sent me cards, emails, and so forth telling me how inspirational and strong I am, yet on the inside I don't feel like anything special at all and esp. nothing close to strong.

What is the one thing you want others to know about yourself, or your blog?
I want others to know that although my husband and I have been dealt the awful hand of infertility we have chosen to not let this define us. There are so many times (and I have been there) where you want to crawl in a hole and hide from every pregnant person on the planet--(I KNOW!) but I've learned you can't hide from your problems, you need to embrace them! I have learned that God placed this in our path for a reason--we have become stronger because of this not to mention our relationship has became stronger as well! Don't get me wrong, I would be lying if I didn't say I didn't get sad at times--thats life! But I have learned to accept the path I was dealt and have learned to let God guide us in the direction in which we need to go! It's not about running up the staircase--you just need to take one step at a time-focus on what is in front of you and let God hold your hand the rest of the way!

If there is something I want others to know about my blog is I have created a support page through my blog where I can link those who have struggled with infertility and have beat this battle and have a little miracle in there arms---or those who are still struggling. I want others to know that finding support is the number one key throughout this journey!

God didn't promise us a life without storms--but he can help us learn to dance in the rain!
